Sakai / Jasig merger impact on incubation
There is a document in draft but not ready for public comment. It states mostly how the new organization embraces incubation and communities of interest. I will be bringing that for discussion along with other people sometime in the near future.

Board approves promotion. Need to poke one contributor for CLA. Meets most exit criteria. There are no notices in the source files with .tag suffixes. A contributor, Jean-Pierre Tran, has contributed a french translation but does not have a contributor license agreement on file. Benito JIRA the notices plugin and contact Jean-Pierre.

commented on INC JIRA - looking for feedback from Yale? Should checkin be to GIT hub instead of svn? Incubation committee will probably need to become admins of GIT
no change | ||||
There have been official releases but no adopters yet. That is only remaining hurdle.
Andrew believes this should be terminated. The project behind it took a different route and similar function is built in to uP 4. Terminated
When I get a chance I will migrate to the Jasig SVN repo. Steve, these can go into GITHUB instead if desirable.

Has not heard from legal yet; however, development continues. A lot of bug fixes and wiki documentation (including videos). Â They completed an internal grant application for more staff but didn't meet the cut, so faculty are now pursuing other alternatives. There has been more internal use for courses. Needs nothing from us a the moment.
no change - advised to contact uPortal about framework portlet
no change - expect progress in next month or two

Eric commented "I've added a NOTICE and LICENSE file and used the license plugin to update all source headers." This was the last requirement missing. Is this project ready for sponsorship? Benito update Jira this week and Susan raise at board meeting.
Tom Barton asked that we leave this as a UChicago offering for now (rather than an un-sponsored contribution). Terminated incubation. Send email to Tom.
Have not reached out to James for an update since last meeting. Benito send email to James.

Now have ICLA. Cris will ping for status.

contacted Andrew 18th October. Still no reply from any email since April. What do we do with unresponsive leads? Susan sent email to Andrew. No response.
What do I need to do to progress this? Is the licensing in order? Our CLA's should be sorted. Are we now using git for source control? Moving forward again after email with Susan.
