INC-35	ThinkSpace	tim carroll	Pete Boysen	Pete's initial talks with the legal team at Iowa State went nowhere and he quit pushing because of the tentative funding future of ThinkSpace. However, they began a TS2.0 project in March which is a total rewrite in HTML5/Javascript of the core engine, which is largely done, so it wasn't fruitful to do all licensing stuff for TS1.0. Since then they have been approached by the Sloan foundation to present a $500K proposal and the Sloan grant officer will work with them to carry it through the process. Funding could begin in January to use the software to build a system for CIRTL which could then be used for other applications as well. Pete hopes they can present the new architecture at the next Apereo conference in June 2014 with a VM for developers. He believes this would get them back on track with something useful to the whole Apereo community.
