How to Improve Incubation Process
What is off in our process? What are frustrations?
Is incubation academic for portlets already in use?Â
It is OK for a project to stay in incubation for a long time. Incubated projects can still be used but status is known. License criteria is nonnegotiable barrier.
Committee attendance and responsibility
We really do need everyone to take responsibility for the projects they are assigned. Committee members are responsible for getting monthly updated status and for making sure project leadership understand the requirements.  Incubation Committee members are not responsible for making activity happen in the projects.Â
Board has an interest in bringing in new projects
New projects are key to the sustainability of Jasig. The board and ED must be looking for ways to facilitate and encourage progress on the project during incubation.
Jonathan will set up a call to talk to someone on Apache incubation about their experience.Â
Does incubation include QA?
Should ragged documentation stall incubation? What about dubious quality? These are still open questions.
New Time
Susan will send email to get a new regular time.
