uPSC administrivia

We discussed the election of the uPSC chair and the timing of general uPSC elections. An official proposal will be presented and voted upon at the next meeting.

uPortal Winter Summit

This will be held in Gilbert, AZ January 29-31, 2019. There are already 10 people signed up, 8 attending in person. Laura and Drew will soon hold an open call to discuss planning. See the collaboration doc to find out more or sign up.

Migrating remaining legacy Jasig resources

Resources have been migrated and there are no known issues. Jim will look at a final backup before decommissioning the legacy resources.

Growing uPortal

We discussed creating a welcoming document that highlights what a person that is new to the community might most want to know. We will look into identifying new subscribers and reaching out to them. We will also look at identifying issues that would be good for new contributors to tackle. 

uPortal Intake

We discussed the uPortal auto screenshot project that was submitted by Ben Sheffield to the uPortal Intake Process. ChristianM will go ahead and create the repository. All uPSC members will keep an eye on intake submissions and prompt more timely creation of repositories.
