What needs to be done before we go live with it?
- Add Longsite as a gold level sponsor (John)
- Add a way to get back to apereo.org
- Social Events page will be populated (by Sat 3/9/13)
- Registration link will addedÂ
- Have the new site and registration app ready for review mid week
- Go live 3/15
What needs to be done shortly thereafter?
- Add appropriate references on sakaiproject.org and jasig.org
- Michelle will add registration fee information to http://www.apereo.org/home/2013-apereo-foundation-conference
- John will look into the possibility of having the new conference.apereo.org URL redirect to that page
- Add twitter feed to conference home page
MarketingÂ
- No budget at this time for paid marketing (e.g., ads)
- Ask board members to promote an appropriate lists
- Ask our contacts in California schools to promote using their contacts/groups/lists
- I'll [Dan] look into appropriate lists in the California State University system
- Some one will need to look into the University of California system
- Private universities?
- We will leave off any mention of group discounts; any inquiries will be referred to Ian
- Are we listed on the EDUCAUSE events schedule? Patty will ensure we are there.
Social Media (Laura McCord)Â
- Laura met with Mathieu to talk about last year's efforts
- Can we leverage Google hangouts?
- There are capabilities to tie this into YouTube streaming
- John, Laura and Narasi will look into this
- Looking at Apereo foundation google page
- We are looking into having a large monitor near the registration area that displays the twitter feed and ad hoc meeting schedule
- Will look at opportunities for leveraging foursquare (https://foursquare.com/)

- Still working on identifying what the needs are for groups that want to meet before/after the conference - Patty will work on estimates
