Release Details

5.2

5.1

5.0

4.3

Significant performance enhancements and polish to user interfaces.

4.2

Better Marketplace, portlet administration, tooling, JSON APIs, Tin Can API.

4.1

uPortal 4.1 added Respondr, multi-tenancy, Marketplace, and Favorites.

4.0

uPortal 4.0 supports version 2.0 of the Portlet specification (JSR-286), removes IChannel support, includes a new customization UI and updated UIs for groups, permissions and user management. New 'under the hood' features such as a refactored rendering pipeline also improve speed and memory usage of the portal.

3.2

uPortal 3.2 continues the move towards portlets. A new Portlet Manager user interface has been created to ease management of content within the portal including a new publishing workflow to manage portlet lifecycle. Config portlet mode support simplifies the configuration of portlets such as Web Proxy. CSS and JS aggregation will reduce page load times for end users. A default mobile theme and skin provide a very good mobile interface for uPortal.

3.1

uPortal 3.1 continues with the refactoring initiated for 3.0 and adds new features such as database statistic logging and administrative identity swapper tools.

3.0

uPortal 3.0 has been refactored to provide for a clear long term uPortal development roadmap. This refactoring includes using Maven 2 for build management, a unified Spring based configuration, data import and export utilities for all data types, and use of Pluto 1.1 for portlet rendering.
