uPortal 4.1 added Respondr, multi-tenancy, Marketplace, and Favorites.

Current maintenance branch

uPortal 4.1 is the current active maintenance branch of uPortal. New adopters should start with the latest 4.1 release. New adopters should look to upgrade to the latest 4.1 release.

The latest uPortal 4.1 release as of this writing is uPortal 4.1.2.

 

uPortal 4.1 is the first uPortal version to ship with a responsive design theme (Respondr), adds some multi-tenancy support, and provides previews of new ways of discovering portal content (the Marketplace) and new ways of navigating layout (Favorites).

 

What to watch out for:

  • uPortal 4.1 requires JDK 7, whereas the prior release series supported JDK 6, so you'll need a modern JDK.
  • While Tomcat 6 may work, you should really upgrade to Tomcat 7 or later.
