The primary form of the executive persona is the executive level leadership in charge of the administration of a university, college, or trade school.

Main characteristics

  • 45-65 years of age
  • Categorized as Digital Immigrants - they have migrated to technology
  • Have experience and are comfortable with some technology but may or may not understand how it works
  • Phone, email, and written document are primary forms of communication
  • Spend a significant amount of time in the academic/business administration environment
  • Are concerned about the intstitution's administration, funding, and reputation


Pierce President


Pierce represents the president executive, who is the chief executive officer over an academic institution. Pierce is the president of a medium-sized, private university with a rich heritage. Pierce has a background in academic administration and policy, and is concerned about the reputation and advancement of the institution. Pierce is the main point of public relation and is primarily responsible for the finanical state of the university, reporting to a board of directors.


Barrington Boardmember


Barrington represents the boardmember executive, a person with domain knowledge, practical experience, and proven success in the business administration/leadership arena. Barrington is a member of the Board of Trustees for a successful and growing private university focused on the adult/ returning student, offering flexible options for schedule and location of their education. Barrington sits on several other advisory boards and is the chairman of his own successful business. Barrington participates in select foundations, councils, and committees.


Patricia Provost


Patricia represents the provost/vice president executive. As the university's provost, executive vice president, and chief academic officer, Patricia is charged with providing leadership to all of the university's campuses and academic programs, fostering excellence in teaching, research and service to the community. Patricia also represents the university to external agencies and constituencies and engages in the fundraising initiatives of the university.
