User Management for accounts managed through uPortal/SSP-Platform

To Create or Find a user accessible through uPortal

Log in as a Portal Administrator (instructions to assign the uPortal Administrator role)
Choose the Manage Users portlet
On the left hand side, Create or Find a user are the two options

Attributes	Description
Username (aka Net ID)	Network ID
Password	Password
Confirm Password	Password
Title	User's title
Department	User's department
Org (organization)	User's organization
Email (aka primary email)	Primary email address
Phone	Phone
SSP Role (s)	The assigned role(s), multiple roles can be selected
Academic Resource Center	Confidentiality Level
Counseling Services	Confidentiality Level
Disability	Confidentiality Level
Displaced Works	Confidentiality Level
Early Alert	Confidentiality Level
English as a Second Language	Confidentiality Level
Fast Forward	Confidentiality Level
Individualized Learning Plan	Confidentiality Level
Last Name	Last name
Alternate Email Address	Alternate email address
First Name	First name

Select the desired user

Options include:

Option	Description
Edit	Modify user attributes including password
View Permissions	View a complete list of permissions for uPortal
Delete	Remove a user from SSP
Impersonate	Impersonation allow a user to "act" as other users just as if logged in as the user. This feature is helpful to troubleshoot permissions.

School ID	Primary school identifier (ID). In most cases, this is different than the username

Choose the Back button at the bottom of the Search page to return to the Manage Users menu
Select Manage Users will return to the last page visited in the Portlet
On the Search for Users page, choose Cancel to return to the Menu

Student Success Plan
