Notes:
Feedback from Dima based on Open Registry proof-of-concept evaluation at the University of Utah. Â Working POC is an initial load from PeopleSoft HR/SIS SOR via XML file. Â Built OR via Maven and using a separate Maven build for Spring Batch.
Items that would be helpful or future adopters/evaluations:
- DDL scripts for core db schema
- DML reference data bootstrap scripts ("seed data for data types")
- Java Enum DataTypes are out of sync with db schema (need updating) - (needs jira issue?)
- Provide default xml data spec for batch feed format (like REST spec) and batch jobs to read this - ootb
- Better Deployment/Config documentation - spring components, etc.
Â
Bill discussed the idea of keeping OpenRegistry focused on the identity data management features and working in the context of CIFER for other IAM capabilities like Group Registry and Credential Management.
Unicon has done a POC Spring Security Grouper Connector that could be used with Grouper instead of OR's intermal roles and permissions tables.
