Registration Policy Statement

This is a statement indicating what we intend to do with the information submitted during portal registration. It should also be considered whether or note we could incorporate this in a general site-wide privacy statement and simply reference that instead.

Here are some initial thoughts that could be incorporated in a statement:

• We will not share contact information with other organizations without getting prior permission from the individual. Individuals may, however, publish their contact information in a public manner on the web site.
• If indicated by the individual, deployment information will be made public.
• Information will be also published in an aggregated form that removes individual or institutional information.
• Jasig may contact individuals to ask for additional information and/or share information about Jasig products and opportunities.

This information will be used to update the Jasig list of deployed uPortals. Your personal contact information will never be displayed or shared with anyone without your permission.
