Campus walking directions (a la yahoo-maps) A visitor chooses a start and an end point (buildings within the campus, etc) and the web application displays the shortest path, step by step, complete with the distances for every step, a total distance and approximate total walking time. An image showing the trace is displayed as well.
Application requires a one-time, quick setup performed by an administrator. It supports multiple maps so, if a University has more than one campus, it can be set up to be used by all the campuses. A uPortal channel/portlet can also be developed.
Using the URL below you can:
- choose the start and end points (by name or acronym)
- search for points of interest
(also, I know Internet Explorer doesn't show the left frame
correctly; if you can, use Firefox)
The application may be down for short periods for updates.
