Status of building the HEAD

Howard brought up Clover for build. Instructions need to be improved.

Extension points

Interfaces.

  • Action item: Andrew to bring up on cas-dev how extension points relate to public interfaces.
  • Vid conf agenda item: Interfaces, credentials to principal resolvers. Susan to speak.

Idea: walkthrough of how one would implement WIND functionality using the CAS3 code. WIND as testcase for extension point validation.

CAS1/2 Spec

Drew released a Draft on the cas-dev list. Andrew responded with comments/minor fixes/more abstract concerns. Drew estimates 1 applied day from a non-Draft ("release candidate"?) of the spec.

Ticket strings and monitoring

CAS2 identified tickets using human-readable ticket prefixes. Yale CAS provided some non-shared extensions for ticket cache monitoring that we'd like to see possible in CAS3. Scott has worked on this problem, applying some AOP and JMX.
