Importing and Exporting data

There are two ways to import and export data with uPortal:

• Import Export Data Migration Tools
• Importing and Exporting data using the Admin UI

If using the admin UI, it is recommended to export your data and update your source code repository (typically in uportal-war/src/main/data) with the updated XML files to allow you to easily recreate your environment (excluding user customizations) using the ant initportal command.
