Using the uPortal Quickstart
Just want to try out uPortal? uPortal can be downloaded pre-packaged with Tomcat. This distribution also contains Ant and Maven and is suitable for evaluation purposes.
Installing from Source
Most development and production environments should be built from the uPortal source. The remainder of this manual will be helpful in learning how to configure, deploy, and develop for the uPortal platform. Pages in this installation section will provide information on basic uPortal build and deployment tasks.
The uPortal source is available as a download, and via subversion.

The uPortal source can be downloaded from the uPortal download page.
uPortal from source control
uPortal is available for checkout via Jasig subversion. To download the current maintenance release of the uPortal 3.2 branch:
