Parent/Guardian of Child Use Case

Within a University it is often necessary to be aware of a legal connection between a student and his or her parent/guardian. Possible reasons for this may include that the parent or guardian is authorized to see a student's tuition bill (possibly to pay it or to see tax information.

Necessary Information

  • Unique Identifier for Parent/Guardian - examples include an OpenID Account with a vetted provider, being a assigned a NetId/password
  • Confirmation from Student that person is parent/guardian and they are authorized to access information
