Purpose:

The project talks are a quick way to introduce newcomers to Apereo about all of the major projects in the Apereo portfolio. Each presentation is short – 7-8 minutes – and covers the goals of a project, how the software or solution can be used, and perhaps a few highlights of key features or how specific institutions are using that software or solution. It's also an opportunity for the presenters to cross-promote later sessions on the schedule.

Format:

7-8 minute presentation: What is it? Why should you care? What are the benefits? How to learn more?
Talk and visuals (whether PowerPoint, etc.)
KISS – Keep it short and simple
End with promotion of relevant session in program

Talks should be informative but also fun
Don't be afraid of humor
Don't be afraid of visuals, color
The Fewer words on a slide, the better
