Project Leads

  • Establish project/ implementation team -  Many schools have already done this.
  • Confirm the goals and scope - after completing training and seeing what's possible, confirm the processes you want around the tools and how they integrate into the daily duties of coaches.
  • Establish processes to support goals- As you assign responsibilities to implementation team members, you may even create a sub group that invites  advisers or faculty members to provide impute into how to incorporate the tools into their daily processes.
  • Develop a communication plan - communicate frequently and often to staff. Even if you think you already have. They need to hear details often about how this is going to affect their every day lives. Bring them in on the process conventions if you can or report back to them to get feedback.
  • Define project measurements -what does success look like to you? How will you track it?
  • Create and review timeline
  • Complete configuration guide
    • identify the sections that support the scope

    • Each implementer has different business processes to support coaching, counseling and advising of students.  Many times each office performs their activities separately and distinctly.  Because SSP integrates many tools, the business processes may overlap or conflict.  Bringing the owners and stakeholders together to discuss how to mutually manage student success is imperative.  The act of documenting processes confirms expectations or identifies current misconceptions and problems that need to be addressed.
