Community Description
Initially, a small "bootstrapping" community will be formed to establish the CoP.
Note there is already an existing Sakai translation community, and this effort would seek to leverage that community and its efforts. Relatedly, a Ja-Sakai translation community (consisting of Hosei, Kansai, Nagoya and Kyoto Universities) has been formed to improve translation of Sakai.
JASIG Relationships
All Jasig projects could benefit from efforts in this area.
Benefits to Higher Education
Better support of localization of software, making it easier to adapt to institution and locale-specific needs.
