If the username has in its suffix a wild character like (*) and the password is correct, it logs in fine.

Description

If the user name has asterisk ( * ) as a suffix e.i John Wil* instead of John Wilson and the password correspond to the user name, CAS logs in Successfully.

Configuration description:
BindLdapAuthenticationHandler with Active Directory.
