Description

In this session, we will share the migration experience of the University of South Alabama, including how:

 * USA performed a year-long review of available LMSs, and why we ultimately chose Sakai

* the University unified most of its support operations by combining them into the Innovation in Learning Center

* we planned for the migration process, including the development of an incentive program to motivate faculty to move their content to Sakai

* we managed the integration of several third-party systems, including the Student Information System

* we developed an integrated support system that combines local resources and a third-party helpdesk service

* we designed and developed our comprehensive training and certification program

* the University's new Quality Enhancement Plan, which is part of our reaccreditation process, was designed around the collaborative teaching and learning possibilities offered by Sakai.
