Goals
- Improved support for Services Management including a more advanced interface which will allow for self-registration and control over the way services are matched.
- Continued evolution of supported authentication methods including X.509, LDAP, AD, InfoCard and more including multi-factor authentication, Levels of Assurance, and specifying authentication methods.
- Continued first-level support for our foreign deployers including expanded Internationalization into logging messages.
- Modified architecture to support emerging use cases and standards including SAML, Federation, and Desktop applications.
- Ability to return attributes about users of the system.
- Provide more interactive and robust feedback including CAPTCHA, warnings, alternate flows (i.e. terms of agreement, password change, etc.)
- Enable simpler configuration and easier deployment and maintenance options.
- Enhance test coverage and functional coverage.
- Enable administrators to have better knowledge of the inner-workings of the CAS server at run-time.
- Harden the CAS system against systematic attacks (i.e. changing TGT ticket ids on each request, etc.)
- Continued improvements to end-user documentation
