The following agenda is a rough schedule for the meeting. The times are meant to give a guide for the flow of the meeting and will probably change slightly during the course of the meeting to account for differing levels of interest in the topics.

General Topic Outline:

      • Could a channel container co-exist with the Pluto portlet container?

      • Should channels run in their own Tomcat and WSRP producer? There is no WSRP producer for channels now.

      • Many channels have relied on direct access to some framework classes. How much of that will version 3 have to support?

      • Discuss the feasibility of using a channel adapter portlet (the opposite of what uPortal 2.x does to support portlets).

    • Migration from uP 2.X to uP 3.X

      • db, layouts, channels, etc.

      • Chart requirements and priorities

    • Enterprise Integration (EI)

      • 2.x had some interfaces for groups, attributes, and authentication.

      • Should 3.x adopt a more consistent SOA-like strategy? Sakai is moving in this direction.

      • Should the 3.x integration interfaces be bi-directional unlike under 2.x?
