Configuring News Feeds

uMobile's news module can consume and display RSS and Atom feeds out of the box.

1. As an administrative user, enter the news portlet at http://localhost:8080/p/news, then click on the "News Administration" link.

2. Click "add a news feed".

3. Enter the desired news feed display title, then enter org.jasig.portlet.newsreader.adapter.RomeAdapter in the Feed class field.

4. (optional) Add any roles that should automatically receive the news feed. For example, to distribute the feed to all users, enter Everyone.

5. Add a new feed parameter. Enter url in the first input field, and the URL of the RSS/Atom feed in the second field.

6. Click "Save news feed".
