A simple weather portlet that recieves an RSS feed from Yahoo.

This how the portlet looks during normal operation.

This is the view when updating the zip code.

I'm unable to connect to the RSS feed...have you experienced this before? Any ideas for a workaround? It's running on VAP 7.1.

java.net.ConnectException: Tried all: '1' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to server: 'xml.weather.yahoo.com', port: '80'

Works great! We are testing it (USC) at the moment. We made one minor modification. We did not like the initial state of the portlet - when the user loads the portletfor the very first time it goes into edit mode. Instead we modified the code so that if the user has not entered a zip code yet, it pulls a default zip code that we entered at channel publication. Thanks.
