Why does the audience care?
"Our needs are special"
Intellectual property ownership
Vendors aren't selling a car like they say, they're selling car parts
Jasig/I2/etc have been at this for a long time
What do we want them to do?
Techies: Standards, buy in to the branding
Deployers: Contribute (but how?), participate in/initiate a conversation
