  • Need to get the message out that the group exists/active
    • OSS IDM dev communities
    • Community of deployers (broader higher ed IDM community)
  • Why does the audience care?
    • "Our needs are special"
    • Intellectual property ownership
    • Vendors aren't selling a car like they say, they're selling car parts
    • Jasig/I2/etc have been at this for a long time
  • What do we want them to do?
    • Techies: Standards, buy in to the branding
    • Deployers: Contribute (but how?), participate in/initiate a conversation
