  • Northern California

Timing

  • One Day Event

  • Scheduled During a Weekday to Maximize Attendance

  • Ideally held between conference and UnConference to keep awareness of Jasig events on people's minds.

Size

  • Smaller events (~5 - 20)

  • Ideally a CAS developer (Client or Server) or Committee Member should attend to represent and facilitate.

Costs

  • Ideally no or minimal costs.

  • Small cost to subsidize some snacks?

  • Locate Universities or organizations that can offer a conference room to host meet up at no charge

Purpose

  • Create and Increase local networking opportunities

  • Facilitate local coordination and collaboration

  • Explain Jasig and Promote Community Source to new Potential developers

  • Improve the CAS Project (work on outstanding bugs or features), documentation, etc.
