Thunderbird School of Global Management uses CAS to provide single-sign-on to a number of applications for our students, staff, faculty, corporate learners, and alumni. These applications include

  • "My Thunderbird", our in-house developed portal
  • "Thunderbird Learning Environment", or TLE, an implementation of the Moodle Open Source Learning Management System
  • Lifetime Email, our Google Apps for Education for Students and Alumni
  • several Drupal instances, and
  • several internal PHP apps that are CAS capable (via the phpCAS library)

Our CAS setup is redundant, using dual Linux servers with JVMs, using RepCache as the ticket stor. We authenticate against a redundant Active Directory LDAP store.
