uPortal can be downloaded from http://www.uportal.org/download.html.
There are 3 distributions:
- uPortal-only - Files intended to be deployed into a Java Servlet Container (e.g. Tomcat, Oracle, Glassfish ...)
- Quick Start - Distribution containing uPortal and software necessary to run (database, servlet container, build management). Requires a JDK.
- Developers Quick Start - Quick Start plus the included uPortal has the necessary Subversion data to be able to run svn commands against it.
The "Quick Start" is intended for demonstration/evaluation purposes. In particular, the included HSQL database is not appropriate for production use.
