2011 Website Redesign - layouts

Here are possible options for new layouts.

v1 Notes:

• Page Header - This version does not require much modification to the layout of the current site header. The Jasig logo remains prominent throughout the site.
• Page Layout - The project logo appears above the section navigation in the left column to signal to the visitor that they are in the uPortal section of the site.

v2 Notes:

• Page Header - This version would require significant changes to the current site header. A feature of this design is a shift in prominence of each project logo as viewers navigate to different projects on the site.
• Jasig Homepage - A wire-frame of the main Jasig homepage is included, and reflects the changes to the header that would be made.
• Project Homepages - Project homepages would be topped by a prominent banner, and the project logo would be made more prominent than the Jasig logo.
• Project Sub-pages - On sub-pages, the banner at the top of each page would be reduced in height, but still feature the project logo

v3 Notes:

• Page Header - This versions requires only a minor change to the current site header (position of search box and secondary navigation)
• Page Layout - The project logo is neither more nor less prominent than the Jasig logo. A banner containing the project logo remains on each of the project's sub-pages.
