Fundamentally, the uPortal Manual wiki space is a tree. Children of any given page have names leading with two-digit integers which define the ordering of the page relative to the other children of its parents, allowing the manual to be well-ordered so that if you are so inclined you can read it end to end like a book. This approach also allows the auto-generation of chapter and section navigation.
