[08:21:56 CDT(-0500)] <Arvids> Eric, how was yesterdays patch?
[08:23:50 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> taking a look today
[08:24:12 CDT(-0500)] <Arvids> ahh.. ok... nothing urgent anyways
[08:24:19 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> slowly catching up after being on vacation for over a week (smile)
[09:34:26 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> Hi, I'm looking for help with getting uMobile apps to run on android emulator. Is there a channel available for that?
[09:39:19 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> rlewis: this is the best bet
[09:39:28 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> ask again directed at athena now that she's here
[09:39:40 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> I have to run though ... I'm child care for the day
[09:39:51 CDT(-0500)] <athena> what's up rlewis?
[09:40:01 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> rlewis
[09:40:01 CDT(-0500)] <EricDalquist> Hi, I'm looking for help with getting uMobile apps to run on android emulator. Is there a channel available for that?
[09:40:13 CDT(-0500)] <athena> ah! yes, i saw your email
[09:40:23 CDT(-0500)] <athena> well, if it's related to umobile, i'd be happy to help
[09:40:38 CDT(-0500)] <athena> though if it turns out to be a windows + titanium issue i may not be as good of a resource
[09:40:49 CDT(-0500)] <athena> i'm unfortuantely a mac user and don't have access to a windows VM
[09:41:15 CDT(-0500)] <athena> what's your JAVA_HOME set to right now?
[09:57:45 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> Thanks for your question abt JAVA_HOME. I went and looked again and found a typo. Now android emulator seems to be running.
[10:02:47 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> I looked at your how-to video. When I look at tiapp.xml, I only have the choice of 1.7.2 for the SDK version. Whereas on the video it shows several options. Why do I only have 1.7.2 and does it matter since the android emulator seems to be working?
[10:08:32 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> I ran the android emulator again, and in the console it has an error message that sdk 1.6 is needed not 1.7. so I will change JAVA_HOME etc to 1.6 then restart titanium
[10:19:18 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> Hi Athena, I am a Windows user, when I run Titanium on vm 1.6.0_23, my TiApp Editor says SDK version 1.7.2 - thats the only option I have. In your video there are several more options 1.6 etc. My JAVA_HOME says jdk 1.6.0_23 Why am I not getting more sdk options for tiapp.xml ?
[10:20:01 CDT(-0500)] <athena> i may have more versions because i've had it installed for a while, but the version about to be released will use 1.7.2
[10:20:10 CDT(-0500)] <athena> what's the full path printed out by JAVA_HOME?
[10:20:56 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> C:\Software\Java\jdk1.6.0_23
[10:21:32 CDT(-0500)] <athena> hmm, that does seem sane
[10:21:46 CDT(-0500)] <athena> if you create a test project, does that work?
[10:22:06 CDT(-0500)] <athena> i'm wondering if this is specific to umobile, in which case we can figure out how to help you install the 1.6 sdk, or if it's a more general setup problem
[10:22:29 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> i have not tried a test project. i will try that
[10:23:23 CDT(-0500)] <rlewis> i did not run the windows installer for sdk 1.6.0_23, maybe that the problem.
