Andrew Petro Unicon, Inc. | Cooperative Development Kiosk Demo | Unicon's Cooperative Support program is a commercial support offering that cooperates with the supported community source projects in delivering excellent support for open source software. The Cooperative Development feature of the program tasks support staff with improving the community source software according to priorities voiced by support subscribers. This kiosk will feature explanation and demonstration of the Cooperative Development process Unicon executes on behalf of both uPortal and Sakai support subscribers, demoing the subscriber voting process, how the list of priorities is managed, and showcasing some of the progress already accomplished through these programs Lydia Weller and Bonnie Ferguson | Using Fedora to expose digital resources at the British Cartoon Archive (stage 1) | A discussion and simple demonstration of how Fedora is being used as part of framework of Open source and commercial software to deliver digital resources at the University of Kent. The British Cartoon Archive Digitisation (BCAD) Project and the VERsatile DIgitisation framework project (VERDI) have benefitted from Fedora's flexibility and open standards to expose digital resources held in various archival systems.
