 &lt;cwaymire&gt; EricDalquist: changing the line from &#034;file:/${CATALINA_HOME}&#034; to &#034;file:${CATALINA_HOME}&#034; got rid of the problem. seems like that forward slash would not be necessary anyways as the environment variable (if defined) should point to an absolute path
